At the time when Hanns-Christian Mahler, the award´s supporter, studied Pharmaceutical Sciences, he was not in the financial position to study or learn abroad, although he dreamed of it. Later, as he became settled in the industry, this dream inspired him to help other students to achieve what he could have not: to make both professional and personal experiences in a foreign country as a student.
What is the purpose of this award?
The Mahler Award aims to provide opportunities for students of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Basel, to make valuable experiences studying and living abroad, in Japan. This aims to collect international experiences and advance the award winners both professionally and personally.
The exchange program is part of the Toyama/Basel international exchange program.
