2. Scholarship Eligibility & Application

  • The Mahler Award Scholarship is open to individuals who meet the specific eligibility criteria set forth in the official application guidelines.
  • Submission of an application does not guarantee selection or receipt of funding.
  • All information provided in the application must be truthful and accurate. Providing false or misleading information may result in disqualification.

3. Selection Process & Award Disbursement

  • Scholarship recipients are selected based on merit, need, or other criteria as determined by the Scholarship Committee. The selection process is conducted fairly and impartially.
  • The decision of the Scholarship Committee is final and not subject to appeal.
  • The awarded scholarship amount will be disbursed directly to the recipient or their designated educational institution, as specified in the award agreement.
  • The Scholarship funds must be used solely for educational purposes, including tuition, academic materials, and other approved expenses.

4. Recipient Obligations & Conduct

  • Recipients are expected to maintain good academic standing and adhere to ethical standards.
  • Scholarship recipients may be required to participate in promotional activities, such as testimonials, media appearances, or events, with prior consent.
  • Misuse of funds or failure to comply with the Scholarship terms may result in withdrawal of the Scholarship and a requirement to return disbursed amounts.

5. Tax & Legal Responsibilities

  • Recipients are responsible for any tax liabilities or reporting obligations related to the Scholarship in their respective jurisdictions.
  • The Mahler Award and its administrators assume no liability for tax implications associated with the Scholarship.

6. Revocation & Termination of the Scholarship

The Mahler Award reserves the right to revoke or terminate a Scholarship if:

  • The recipient provides false or misleading information.
  • The recipient fails to meet the academic, ethical, or conduct requirements.
  • The recipient engages in any activity that may negatively impact the reputation of the Scholarship or its administrators.
  • The Scholarship program is modified, suspended, or terminated at the discretion of the Mahler Award.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Mahler Award, its affiliates, and its administrators shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from:

  • The application process, selection, or disbursement of the Scholarship.
  • Any changes, delays, or cancellation of the Scholarship.
  • Any issues related to third-party educational institutions or partners.

All Scholarship recipients assume full responsibility for the appropriate use of the funds and compliance with institutional and legal requirements.

8. Amendments & Governing Law

  • The Mahler Award reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Scholarship program at any time without prior notice.
  • This Legal Notice is governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of Basel, Switzerland.
